Retail Training Institute
Instituto’s Retail Training Institute supports new and incumbent retail workers by providing them with the skills needed to be successful in their positions and move up the career ladder in a supportive, flexible setting. Since its inception in 2016, 714 students have enrolled in the program and 421 have completed it.
The classes are free to students and employers and last from 3 to 16 weeks, depending upon the needs of the students. Program participants receive job readiness training, interview skills and job placement assistance in the Chicagoland retail industry.
Additionally, program participants will have the opportunity to earn up to four industry recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation. The classes that are offered are:
