Spanish Literacy and Elementary Education

Instituto engages individuals at every level of the education pathway, including those with little or no education in their native country. Instituto's Spanish Literacy program provides adult learners instruction in Spanish reading and writing along with basic math skills to give students the foundation needed to continue their education. 

 

Thanks to a unique partnership with the Mexican Consulate, our students complete an exam to confirm their new skills and earn their certification of primary education from the government of Mexico. For many, it is their first graduation and a moment of immense celebration and pride. Students can then transition into Instituto English courses and onto career training to continue their education.
