We work with high-ambition, high-potential students who are eager and prepared to pursue college degrees after graduating from Instituto’s schools. 98% of our students qualify for the free and reduced lunch programs and have limited financial resources to continue their education. Instituto counselors are avid supporters of our students and work with each one to garner the best financial resources available to meet their needs. However, after weaving together multiple funding sources, our students are often left with what may seem like relatively small gaps in resources, but they are gaps that force our alumni to pause their education and leave them less likely to complete school.
You can help change this. With your support, we will add to the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois' generous commitment to launch the Instituto Scholars Fund and fill these final gaps when our students are in need.
Instituto expects to support 30-40 students annually with the fund, granting awards ranging from $500-$5,000 to enable our students to continue their college pursuits.
Thanks to BCBSIL's donation, the generosity of Instituto supporters at Alta Cocina 2016, and a matching gift of $50,000 by an anonymous donor, the Instituto Scholars Fund will launch with over $161,000 dedicated to scholarships.
But there's more to be done! Helps us ensure our students can continue college for years to come. Plus, donate today, and double the impact! Your donations to the Instituto Scholars Fund will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the Sun Times Foundation and The Chicago Community Trust. Help us ensure our students can complete college.
