Instituto stands in solidarity with our Asian brothers and sisters to condemn the ongoing violence and hate directed at the AAPI community. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of pain and difficult challenges to many Americans, especially those demonized by false rhetoric. The language and false rhetoric used at the onset of the pandemic when characterizing the virus is bearing heavy consequences on already vulnerable populations like the AAPI community. We urge every person, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background, to do their part to combat racism and prejudice and help our nation heal from this ongoing crisis.
